3/12/2007 2:30PM	All	Networking Issues One of the upstream providers for Servlets.Net had a major routing issue that resulted in the loss of connectivity and limited intermittenent connectivity. Our upstream provider has full redunancy in their infrastructure, which would mean this type of problem shouldn't happen. It was explained to us that both routers were hit with a major traffic spike and that each of them attempted to follow the failsafe procedures of failing over to the other router. But each router was already overloaded to the point that it could not pick up the traffic from the other router. This resulted in intermittent and loss of network connectivity.
